Emma Roberts is “not at all” ashamed of her hair trick

In an interview with the magazine “Popsugar,” Emma Roberts shares from a stay in Mexico that she dislikes washing her hair on vacation. The actress, who dyed her hair a copper tone just this February, fears losing the red. She recounts past experiences: “When I was blonde, it turned yellow, and with red, the color washed out. That’s why I’m really afraid to wash it properly.”

Her solution? Simply not touching her hair with shampoo and conditioner. Instead, she braids her hair and jumps into the sea. For Roberts, it’s a completely natural approach on vacation: “I’m not ashamed at all… Nothing looks better than saltwater hair.” To create this look, you don’t have to swim in the Pacific. Even saltwater spray from the store can provide the romantic “undone” texture.

However, it doesn’t go without some preparation. The “American Horror Story” star mentions getting a blowout before traveling and then using dry shampoo until the end of the stay. A blowout is a hairstyle where the hair is volumized with a round brush after washing.
