The Dutch royal family held their traditional summer photo shoot. Princess Amalia stood out alongside her parents and sisters because she chose particularly unique footwear.
The traditional summer photo shoot of the Dutch royal family was supposed to take place a few weeks ago. However, it had to be postponed due to Princess Amalia’s injury from a riding accident. The 21-year-old broke her upper arm, required surgery, and wore an arm brace for several weeks. But now the shoot has been rescheduled, and in light of the beautiful weather, the entire family opted for summer outfits that perfectly matched the photo location. While Queen Máxima, Princess Ariane, and Princess Alexia chose wedge heels, Crown Princess Amalia stood out by wearing sneakers.

The estate of Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander boasts a wonderfully expansive garden, which naturally served as an ideal location for the royal family’s traditional summer photo shoot. Joining them, of course, were the three daughters Princess Ariane, Princess Alexia, and Princess Amalia. They demonstrated with their looks that they inherited their fashion sense from their mother, Maxima.
Princess Alexia chose an ankle-length green dress from H&M and paired it with wedge heels. Her sister Ariane also opted for a similar pair of shoes and wore a striped vest and pants combo from Max Mara with a simple black top. Only Crown Princess Amalia went for a casual look with her footwear, wearing green Adidas sneakers with a satin top from Rotate Birger Christensen and straight-cut white pants.

Affordable Meets Expensive
Princess Alexia’s green dress from H&M was a real bargain at around 125 euros. Princess Amalia’s blouse and sneakers were also quite affordable at approximately 210 euros and 120 euros, respectively.
In contrast, the looks of Queen Máxima and Princess Ariane were much more expensive. Máxima wore a blue-and-white dress by Zimmermann for about 930 euros. Her wedge espadrilles were from Aquazzura, known for high-priced luxury heels. Princess Ariane also showed exquisite taste: Her Max Mara ensemble is available for around 880 euros.
